A building under construction collapsed in Nairobi's South C Estate at the Shopping Centre area on the morning of January 2, 2026, according to emergency services.
Videos of the site showed collapsed rubble as crowds milled around the scene. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
The Kenya Red Cross said teams are on site to manage the situation.
"Early this morning, a building under construction collapsed in the Shopping Centre area of South C, Nairobi County. A multi-agency response team is on site managing the situation," said Kenya Red Cross.
